Communities In Schools Scholarship
The Communities in Schools Scholarship was established in 1988 by the Communities in Schools Dallas Region, Inc. (CIS), a nonprofit, stay-in-school organization dedicated to mobilizing the resources of the community and bringing them into the schools to help children succeed. The scholarship supports “at-risk” students involved in the Communities in Schools Dallas Region, Inc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
- Must be an “at-risk” student
- Must be a graduate of a Dallas Independent Schools District school
- Must have been involved in the Communities in Schools Dallas Region, Inc. at your high school.
- Must include one recommendation from a counselor or tutor from the Communities in Schools Dallas Region program.
- Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the spring scholarship. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
