Alex Puente Memorial Scholarship

The Alex Puente Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Alex Puente, whose remarkable life ended much too soon, as a result of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This scholarship will be awarded to students who are Business, Music, or Welding majors, are working to put themselves through college. Alex’s family and friends established this memorial scholarship with the Foundation. This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors and/or college students attending Mountain View Campus.

Application Criteria

  • Major in Business, Welding Technology, or Music
  • Must be attending or planning on attending Mountain View Campus
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or a C average or above
  • Must be a student in good academic standing
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the period of the award
  • Must be employed at least part-time while in college
  • Must answer the supplemental questions below

This scholarship renews for the spring semester. To receive the spring portion, the recipient must maintain the above requirements. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
