Dr. Eileen M. Lynch Endowed Scholarship

The Dr. Eileen M. Lynch Endowed Scholarship was established by Steve and Joy Arndt in memory of Steve’s mother Dr. Eileen M. Lynch, retired Political Science professor of Brookhaven Campus. This scholarship will assist a single parent or a child of a single parent, as in her life Dr. Lynch was both.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must have a minimum Dallas College GPA of 3.0
• Must be a student attending the Brookhaven Campus during the period of the award
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the period of the award
• Must have completed a minimum of 9 credit hours at Dallas College prior to the period of the award
• Must be a single parent or child or a single parent
• Must meet federal guidelines for financial need. Applicants must complete the entire FAFSA process by May 1st.
• Must answer the supplemental questions –
  How will this scholarship assist you in achieving your educational goals?
• Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the spring scholarship. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
