Charles McAdams Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Charles McAdams Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in loving memory of Dr. Charles McAdams, a long-time faculty member of the Humanities and Cultural Studies Department at the Brookhaven Campus. Dr. McAdams was an untiring mentor to students and faculty of the college. This scholarship will continue his deep interest in serving students so that they can complete their education.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a student attending the Brookhaven Campus during the period of the award.
  • Major in Humanities or Cultural Studies.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the period of the award
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Must have taken or currently enrolled in a humanities or cultural studies course at the Brookhaven Campus.
  • Must provide a name and email address for a recommendation from a Humanities instructor.
  • Must answer the supplemental question –
    Write a brief biography stating your academic goals and plans and include your GPA and community-service involvement.
  • Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the spring scholarship. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
