Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Scholarship

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Scholarship was established in 1999 by Select Practice Management and Dr. Jack Schwade, Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Humana Hospital-Medical City, Dallas. Dr. Schwade began a major funding effort in 1991 to enable the El Centro Campus Health Occupations Division to start an Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program. Humana Hospital provided classroom and lab space for the program. Many private-sector contributions were received, and the program was fully operational in the Fall of 1992. This scholarship was set up to assist the El Centro Campus Invasive Cardiovascular Technology students and prepare them for employment in the medical specialty area of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
