Virginia Wright Endowed Scholarship

The Virginia Wright Endowed Scholarship was established in 1995 in honor of Virginia Wright, a longtime employee of the Food and Hospitality Institute at the El Centro Campus. The award is given to a student who has completed two semesters of Quantity Food Preparation and Service classes with a grade of A and who exemplifies dedication to the Food and Hospitality Institute and who goes the “extra mile” as Virginia Wright did for 20 years at the El Centro Campus.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Major in Food & Hospitality Service, Food & Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Bakery/Pastry
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the period of the award
  • * ESSAY REQUIRED*
  • * RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED *

This scholarship renews for the spring semester. To receive the spring portion, the recipient must maintain the above requirements. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
