Jean Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Jean Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 1995 to honor Jean Brown, a former instructor at the Mountain View Campus. She taught at Mountain View for over 25 years and wrote “A Small Moment,” which is performed at graduation. In her own words, “Greet each day with a sunrise of your own making. Reach out to others along your path. Pursue your dreams with all the passion you can muster, being careful not to step on the dreams of others.”

Eligibility Criteria

• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Major in Music
• Must be a student attending the Mountain View Campus during the period of the award
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the period of the award

• Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the spring scholarship. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
