Walter L. Pike Endowed Scholarship
The Walter L. Pike Endowed Scholarship was established in 2006 in memory of Dr. Walter Pike, who served as Dallas College’s first vice chancellor of business affairs from 1966 to 1983. Dr. Pike was active in the Texas and National College Business Officers Association. He interned with the National College and University Business Officers in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 1980. This scholarship benefits students majoring in Accounting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Major in Accounting
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have completed a minimum of 6 credit hours at Dallas College prior to the period of the award
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours for the period of the award
- ESSAY REQUIRED*
- Recipient must maintain the above requirements to receive the spring scholarship. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits
