Max and Rosa Goldblatt Community Service Endowed Scholarship

The Max and Rosa Goldblatt Community Service Endowed Scholarship was established in 1985 by the Goldblatt family as a tribute to the lifetime of community service work of Rosa and Max Goldblatt, whose work was instrumental in the creation of the Dallas College. It was established to assist students and to foster a commitment to community service on the part of the scholarship recipients.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a Dallas College student
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Must have performed at least 25 hours of volunteer community service prior to applying. Community service can be with a bond or political campaigns, hospitals, libraries, or any other civic volunteer work.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credit hours for the period of the award
• Must include one recommendation from a Dallas faculty or staff member
• Must answer the supplemental questions

To qualify for this scholarship you must be enrolled in the required hours by the application deadline.

This scholarship renews for the spring semester. To receive the spring portion, the recipient must maintain the above eligibility requirements and the recipient requirements listed below. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.

Recipient Requirements

• Recipient must perform at least 10 hours of volunteer community service each semester. Community service can be with a bond or political campaigns, hospitals, libraries, or any other civic volunteer work.
• Recipient must submit a list of all volunteer hours with contact information at the end of each semester.
