Eddie Laws Memorial Construction Scholarship

The Eddie Laws Construction Education Memorial Fund, established by Texas Roof Management INC, stands as a tribute to our cherished friend and colleague, Eddie Laws, who departed in May 2021. The primary goal of this fund is to extend support to deserving students seeking construction education. Through this initiative, we aim to create a lasting legacy for Eddie, reflecting the life he lived and the substantial contributions he made to the construction industry. It is our sincere intent that this scholarship fund becomes a representation of Eddie’s impact, not only within the construction sector but also as a beacon for those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. Join us in commemorating Eddie’s legacy by fostering educational opportunities for aspiring individuals in the construction field.

Designation: For the creation of the Eddie Laws Memorial Construction Scholarship, to be managed by the Dallas College Foundation Scholarship Office to support students pursuing degrees and certifications in construction management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be in the Construction Management or Construction Technology Degree or Certificate program
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
• Student must complete the FAFSA/TASFA

• This scholarship renews for the spring semester. To receive the spring portion, the recipient must maintain the above requirements. Failure to do so could result in a loss of scholarship benefits.
