Richard Ripley Scholarship

The George and Fay Young Foundation awarded funds to Dallas College School of Education for general operations use and student tuition support for seniors in the bachelor’s program. The School of Education is establishing a scholarship for seniors in the Bachelor of Education degree program that meet minimal eligibility requirements.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Must be an incoming senior in the Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Must provide verification of senior status in the Bachelor’s Degree in Education program
• Must meet federal guidelines for financial need. Applicants must complete the entire FAFSA process
• Must enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must complete the entire general application

Students can reapply for the scholarship each semester if they maintain eligibility status.

RECIPIENT REQUIREMENTS

• Scholarship recipients will be required to attend an end-of-the-year meeting with the scholarship donor to be recognized/highlighted.
