Mary Kirk Nursing Endowed Scholarship at El Centro
The Mary Kirk Nursing Endowed Scholarship was established in 1990 to honor Mary Kirk’s many years of service as a nurse. Her career started as an anesthetist during World War II in the North American Theater. Ms. Kirk provided anesthesia for more than 5,000 patients during the remainder of the war. She eventually settled in Dallas and established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to deserving nursing students attending El Centro Campus.
