Richard Ripley Scholarship
The George and Fay Young Foundation has awarded funding to the Dallas College School of Education to support both general operations and tuition assistance for seniors enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program. In alignment with this support, the School of Education is establishing a scholarship for students pursuing upper-level coursework toward their bachelor’s degree in education who meet minimum eligibility criteria.
- You will be automatically considered for this scholarship based on your completed General Application.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Program of Study: BAS Early Childhood
- Enrollment: 12 or more credit hours each semester
- GPA: 2.75 or higher each semester
- Residency: In district or Out of district
- In good academic standing
- FAFSA: Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as defined by the U.S. Department of Education
RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS.
- Program of Study: BAS Early Childhood

RECIPIENT REQUIREMENTS
- Recipients who meet the renewal requirements will have their scholarship automatically renewed for the Spring semester.
- Scholarship recipients will be required to attend an end-of-the-year meeting with the scholarship donor to be recognized/highlighted.
