PSSEC Endowed Scholarship for Dallas College Employees

The Professional Support Staff Executive Council (PSSEC) Endowed Scholarship was established in 1999 by the Dallas College Professional Support Staff Association to support the educational advancement of Dallas College employees. This scholarship is designed to enhance achievement and excellence by providing financial assistance to active, dues-paying Professional Support Staff Association (PSSA) members pursuing their educational goals at a four-year university or college.

Eligibility Criteria

Full or part-time Dallas College employees only

• Full-time employees must have one year of continuous employment
• Part-time employees must have two years of continuous employment
• Active/paid member of a Dallas College Professional Support Staff Association (PSSA) at the time application is submitted and the award received.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Two letters of recommendation: Letters should highlight how the author knows the applicant and provide specific examples of their contributions and educational goals.
  • One from the current PSSA President
  • One from a current Dallas College employee
• Answer the supplemental questions:
  • What is your Dallas College employment classification (full time or part time)?
  • What department do you work in?
  • What Dallas College campus or location are you currently working at?
  • Are you a previous PSSEC Scholarship recipient? I (If yes, specify semester/year)
  • Describe why you deserve this scholarship. Include academic goals, and career plans.

Please note that this scholarship will be paid out to the college/university you are attending and applied to your account there.
