Dr. Kathaleen Acosta Scholarship

The Dr. Kathaleen Acosta Scholarship was established by her son in honor of the career accomplishments of Dr. Acosta. She dedicated herself to education not only to improve her own life, but to create a better future for her son. With unwavering discipline and determination, Dr. Acosta excelled as a full-time employee, devoted mother, and committed student.

This scholarship recognizes and supports individuals who demonstrate a similar level of dedication—those who strive to balance the demanding roles of work, family, and education in pursuit of personal and academic success.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• GPA: 3.0 or higher
• Program of Study: Any two-year associate degree
• Hours Enrolled: 6 or more credit hours each semester
• Hours Completed: 30 or more credit hours prior to award
• Employed full time and a single parent

RECIPIENT REQUIREMENTS

• Complete 6 credit hours each semester
• Attend award dinner
• Mentoring option available

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS

• GPA: 3.0 or higher
• Program of Study: Any two-year associate degree
• Hours Enrolled: 6 or more credit hours each semester
