Dallas College Scholars Enrichment Initiative

Dallas College Scholars Enrichment Initiative is a prestigious opportunity designed to recognize and support high-achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to community engagement.
This distinguished program provides a comprehensive two-year scholarship and robust co-curricular offerings to prepare students for academic and professional success.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Be an Honors Program Student
• GPA: 3.5 or higher
• ESSAY REQUIRED on general scholarship application

RENEWAL RERQUIREMENTS

• Students awarded in the Fall semester will automatically renew in the Spring semester, provided all eligibility and participation requirements are maintained.
• Adhere to all program participation requirements to remain eligible for spring renewal

RECIPIENT REQUIREMENTS

• Recipients participate in a mandatory orientation
• Engage in at least two leadership development activities per semester
• Participate in one travel experience during the program
• Serve as Honors Program Liaisons, completing 7 hours of engagement weekly, including:
• Attendance at the weekly colloquia series
• Participation in cultural outings and reflective activities
• Serving 3 hours weekly in an Honors Center (fall and spring)
• Mentoring incoming scholars during the second year
• Maintain academic progress toward graduation with honors by earning honor credits each semester
